Auke Montessori

I am a Philosopher specializing in Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind, with a focus on Understanding and Perception. More specifically, I conduct research on what it means to understand one's evidence, particularly when that evidence is a mental state. I completed my PhD at Washington University in St. Louis, where I have also taught as a sole instructor and teaching assistant. My dissertation work was supervised by Casey O'Callaghan and Matthew McGrath.
